A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I grew up in South Africa and obtained my primary degree in Medical Physiology and Anatomy from The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. I completed my medical degree at the University of London (University College), graduating in 1993.
Following my hospital internships, I completed my General Practice training in London. I worked in a number of practices and hospitals, allowing me to broaden my medical and surgical experience. I also worked in a Flying Doctor service in remote northern Canada.
I became a partner in a medical practice in Brighton where I practiced for eight years. The British weather finally drove me away and I moved to Brisbane with my family in 2007.
I am a procedural GP. This means that I am trained to perform surgical procedures in a general practice setting. These procedures include skin cancer removal, vasectomy, circumcision and hormone implants and removal.
I have been performing vasectomies since 2011.
I am married with two adult children and two black Labradors. When I am not working, I enjoy metalwork and mosaic, mountain biking, motorcycling and a good book on a soft sofa.
